Editorial standards

How STL chooses, sources, reviews and corrects what it publishes.

Independence

STL does not publish sponsored, paid or advertorial content. Guests are neither charged nor paid for appearing. No guest, partner or organization approves the argument or framing of an edition; that authority rests with the founder and editor alone. STL does not promote products or services, including the founder's own advisory work. Should an edition ever receive external support, the supporter will be named on that edition and will hold no editorial control.

How topics and guests are chosen

Topics are selected for their insight potential and their relevance to decisions being made in the Kingdom and by those working with it. Guests are invited for the depth of their experience in the question at hand. Readers may propose a leader or a subject through the nomination page; a nomination is considered on the same criteria and does not guarantee publication.

Sources and evidence

Every edition lists its sources and notes. Articles cite the reports, data and public statements they rely on. In conversations, quotations come from an interview conducted by the editor and are edited for length and clarity, never for meaning; figures a guest offers are attributed to that guest in the text.

Guest review

Before publication, each guest reviews the quotations attributed to them and their biography for accuracy. Guests do not approve the editor's analysis or conclusions.

Conflicts of interest

Where the editor holds a professional relationship with a guest, or with an organization an edition discusses, the edition says so.

Use of artificial intelligence

The editor conducts every interview and sets the argument of every edition. AI tools support transcription, drafting and production. Each edition is reviewed, edited and approved by the editor, and each conversation is also approved by its guest before publication.

Corrections

Errors of fact are corrected promptly. A corrected edition carries a dated note stating what changed. Readers who find an error can reach the editor on LinkedIn.

Open access

Every edition, including its PDF, is free to read without registration. Joining the email list is optional, and addresses are used only to announce new editions.
